What's Interesting....

  Is that in choir we're having a "pops concert" (which has more current music that our other concerts). We're having a "through the decades" theme. Our main song is a medley of old songs. It has commentaries of the times too. Some are happy and others aren't. They songs, commentaries, and ages range from the beginning of rock, the 50's with songs like "Rock and Roll is here to stay." to the 80's with songs like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." To the 90's with songs like "Don't Worry, Be Happy." And commentaries about things like the Apollo Mission, Princess Diana's death, and The Cold War. It reminded me of all our good and bad times. Also, I got the solo part in it singing the bit with "Don't Worry, Be Happy!" Bye, Bye!

We Have Been Worse.

  You have probably heard of Osama Bin Laden's recent death. We killed him because he was the terrorist behind 9/11. 9/11. Thousands were killed. I believe that al Qaeda will not stop threats and attacks. They have tried recently to recoil and attack again. The reason I brought this up is that I was watching history channel and there was something on about Nostradamus. One of his predictions was about the Holocaust and Hitler. I was writhing as I thought about all the innocent deaths and corruptness of Hitler. The corruptness also of Bin Laden and 9/11 also came to mind. I wish violence was nonexistent, but what is peace without it??? What can we do to make our earth a better one?

This is amazing.

  For several years America's economy, politics, and attitude haven't been very good. We are a people of change, though, and our pop culture reflects those changes. I want everyone to see these changes, better or worse. Today, we are better. I went onto YouTube this afternoon and saw that Lady Gaga had a new song titled "The Edge of Glory." This song is extremely positive and joyful. Lady Gaga used to be categorized with sex and smoking, that's what WE were (she still is but that's her image). Listen to this song. It's beautiful. WE are beginning to become beautiful. Also, "Alligator Sky" by Owl City is an extremely positive reflection of our society and culture. Hope you like it, bye-bye.
